ABOUT JESSICA

With her multi-ethnic, multilingual, and multicultural perspective, Jessica Sherif creates stories that examine identity and question the narratives that define and divide us.
On the narrative side, Jessica's short films have been selected at more than 40 festivals, winning awards at HollyShorts, Tallgrass and the 48 Hour Film Project. Her screenwriting work has been recognized by the Tribeca Creators Market and The Black List.


In the non-fiction world, Jessica has turned her lens on groundbreaking athletes and cultural pioneers, in projects she co-created such as Right To Offend: The Black Comedy Revolution (A&E/Hulu), Under Pressure: The U.S. Women's World Cup Team (Netflix), Rather (Netflix), as well as an upcoming documentary on the famed Williamstown Theater Festival. Jessica has also written, directed and produced branded and social media content for various companies.
